The short version
Print books: send them back within 30 days if you change your mind. Damaged or misprinted books: tell us, keep the book, we will fix it. Digital editions: non-refundable once downloaded, but we will always make it right if the file is faulty.
Print editions — changed your mind
Return any paperback or hardcover within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the purchase price, as long as it is in resaleable condition. A book you opened and read a few pages of is fine. A book that has been annotated, stained, water-damaged, or had its spine broken is not.
Email orders@vraibook.com with your order number and which item you are returning, and we will send you instructions. Please contact us before sending anything back, so we know to expect it.
Return postage is paid by you unless the book was faulty or we sent the wrong one, in which case we cover it. Original shipping charges are not refunded on change-of-mind returns.
We refund to your original payment method within 5 business days of the book reaching us.
Print editions — damaged, defective or wrong
If your book arrives damaged, misprinted, missing pages, bound out of order, or is simply not the book you ordered, email orders@vraibook.com within 30 days with your order number and a photograph of the problem.
Do not send it back. We will ship a replacement free, or refund you in full — whichever you prefer. You keep the damaged copy; posting it back costs more than the book is worth to us.
Digital editions
Because a downloaded file cannot be returned, digital editions are non-refundable once the download has started.
We will always refund a digital purchase where:
- the file is corrupt, incomplete, or will not open;
- you were charged more than once for the same item;
- the edition is materially different from what the product page described.
Email orders@vraibook.com. We would rather refund you than argue about it.
If you are ordering from outside the United States, your local consumer law may give you additional rights that this section does not limit.
Cancelling an order
Print orders can be cancelled for a full refund any time before dispatch. We pack quickly, so email us fast — once a parcel is in the mail it becomes a return.
Refund timing
Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with. We process them within 5 business days of approving the return, and Stripe releases them to your bank in a further 5–10 business days. We cannot refund to a different card or send you a cheque.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy affects your rights under applicable consumer protection law.
