How you can pay

All payments are handled by Stripe. We accept:

• Visa
• Mastercard
• American Express
• Discover
• Apple Pay
• Google Pay
• Debit cards carrying any of the above networks

Currency

All prices are in US dollars. If your card is issued in another currency, your bank converts at its own rate and may add a foreign transaction fee. That is between you and your bank, and it means the figure on your statement may differ slightly from the total shown at checkout.

Sales tax

Sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your shipping address, and only where we are required to collect it. The exact amount is shown before you pay, never added afterwards. Import duties on international orders are separate — see our Shipping Policy.

Security

Stripe is certified PCI DSS Level 1, the highest level of payment security certification available. Your card details are entered directly into Stripe’s encrypted infrastructure and are transmitted securely.

We never see or store your full card number. Our records show the card brand and last four digits, which is enough to identify a transaction and nothing more. Our entire site runs over HTTPS.

When you are charged

You are charged in full when you place your order, not when it ships.

If a payment fails

Your order will not complete and nothing will be dispatched. A declined card sometimes leaves a temporary authorisation hold on your account — that is a hold, not a charge, and your bank releases it automatically within 3–5 business days.

The usual causes are a billing address that does not match your card, insufficient funds, or your bank blocking an unfamiliar merchant. Check with your bank first, then email hello@vraibook.com and we will help.

Refunds

Refunds always go back to the original payment method. We cannot refund to a different card, send a bank transfer, or issue a cheque. If you would rather have store credit, ask and we will arrange it.

Fraud screening

Orders are screened automatically by Stripe Radar. Occasionally a legitimate order gets flagged — most often when the billing and shipping addresses are in different countries. If that happens we will email you before cancelling anything, and a quick reply is usually all it takes.
